The Formation of the Palmetto Pointe Wine Club

We are pleased to announce the formation of the Palmetto Pointe Wine Club! On June 25 the PPWC held is first meeting/tasting at Jim & Carol McCarl’s home. 20 members were in attendance, each bringing their favorite wine to discuss and share with the group. A total of 9 wines (click for photo) were shared a a great social time followed.
The PPWC is open to all residents of Palmetto Pointe, Jim McCarl is the President (fjmccarl@mac.com). We plan to hold a minimum of 4 tastings a year and the rules are simple:
1. First meetings (up to 3) do not require membership, but after the third must join the American Wine Society (www.americanwinesociety.org) They provide insurance for our tastings, online seminars and great information on wine.
2. For each tasting cost is $15.00pp (cover educational wines), bring a bottle to share, an appetizer and wine glasses
The first introduction meeting a last tasting were attended by 20 of your friends & neighbors hope to see you at our Sept. 16 tasting at Tricia Wilburn’s 460 Longview Drive.
